We are very excited to announce our newest member benefit, the UMTPG Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). As the saying goes, “There is strength in numbers.” Now, for transportation business owners, there is no greater strength than “buying power” – being able to save money on essential products and services.
It’s easy to save money by purchasing in great volume. But for most businesses, purchasing excessive volume of product and resources is less a solution because it ties up essential capital and cash flow. Rather, what business owners really need is volume-based savings in quantities they actually need.
To assist the cash flow of business owners, the UMTPG GPO is designed to save money on essential products and services. Because the UMTPG is a consortium, Vendors and Retailers identify independent members as a single “Group” and, thus, enjoy savings on cell phones and services, vehicles parts and equipment, office supplies, and associated capital resources without having to invest in bulk quantity.
Why the UMTPG GPO
The purpose of the United Medical Transportation Providers Group is to empower our member Providers through savings, opportunities and education. No service or benefit is more essential or desirable than helping our members to save money. Since 2011, our team of insurance brokers and underwriters has been helping to save Providers money on insurance premiums. Now, through the UMTPG GPO, we are saving Providers money on the products and services essential to keeping Providers operational and poised for growth.
How the GPO works
After providing and granting us permission to share your contact information with participating third party GPO Vendors and Retailers, Vendors will convey the various deals and savings extended to GPO members. Providers are under NO obligation to purchase from any particular GPO Vendor. Rather, Providers can choose any extended offers or deals provided by any participating Vendors.
Deals and discounts are varied and diverse as are the type of participating GPO Vendors and Retailers. Such deals, discounts and rewards are the sole discretion of the Vendors and not the UMTPG. Our growing membership provides incentive for Vendor savings and opportunities, but ultimately, the UMTPG does not control the type or amount of member discounts.
